The publication of Uzbek journals in authoritative publications is becoming more common. This not only enhances the status of research, but also expands its visibility and influence in the scientific community. Databases such as Scopus help to achieve high scientometric indicators. SJR, SNIP and CiteScore are metrics that demonstrate prestige, compare journals from different disciplines, and show the average number of citations.

Types of scientometric indicators used by Scopus:
- SJR – SCImago Journal Rank measures the weighted number of citations received by a periodical. The weight of a citation depends on the subject area and the prestige of the cited publication.
- SNIP – Source Normalised Impact per Paper measures the actual number of citations received relative to the expected number of citations for the subject area of the periodical.
- CiteScore – measures the average number of citations received by each document published in a given periodical.
