Scientific journals of Uzbekistan in Scopus: overview of the current list

The publication of Uzbek journals in authoritative publications is becoming more common. This not only enhances the status of research, but also expands its visibility and influence in the scientific community. Databases such as Scopus help to achieve high scientometric indicators. SJR, SNIP and CiteScore are metrics that demonstrate prestige, compare journals from different disciplines, and show the average number of citations.

Types of scientometric indicators used by Scopus:

1. SJR – SCImago Journal Rank measures the weighted number of citations received by a periodical. The weight of a citation depends on the subject area and the prestige of the cited publication.
2. SNIP – Source Normalised Impact per Paper measures the actual number of citations received relative to the expected number of citations for the subject area of the periodical.
3. CiteScore – measures the average number of citations received by each document published in a given periodical.

Uzbek Mathematical Journal

Uzbek Mathematical Journal is a scientific journal specialising in all areas of mathematics. It is published by the V. I. Romanovsky Institute of Mathematics of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Founded in 1957, it is published four times a year. The journal publishes original results of theoretical and applied research in all areas of mathematical science. It also publishes special issues, reviews devoted to specific scientific and technical problems, and materials from international congresses, symposiums, and conferences.

Geliotekhnika / Applied Solar Energy

Geliotekhnika (Applied Solar Energy in English) is one of the most renowned scientific journals in the CIS, specialising in research in the field of solar energy and renewable energy sources. The journal was founded in 1965 by the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The English-language version, Applied Solar Energy, is indexed in the Scopus database.

The journal focuses on the following topics:

• Solar installations and their application
• Solar energy concentrators
• Solar engineering materials science
• Solar power plants
• Economics and ecology of solar engineering, and others.
   

Chemistry of Natural Compounds

Chemistry of Natural Compounds is a scientific journal on chemistry founded in 1965 by the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It is one of the leading publications for phytochemists both within the country and abroad. The journal publishes articles devoted to the isolation, structural determination, synthesis and chemical transformations of natural organic compounds, as well as the study of the relationship between their structure and activity. The English-language version of the journal is published under the title Chemistry of Natural Compounds by Springer and is indexed in Scopus.
